Garden Progress
I put the box for the Square Foot Gardening together last week.
Today I went to Lowes and purchased the peat moss, compost and vermiculite. The stuff was so heavy just to even push around in the cart that I couldn't bear going around to find out where the weed cloth was. So although we are one step closer, we still have to get the weed cloth before we can put everything together. The kids are very excited.
I'm pretty sure that I didn't get the right vermiculite, so I will look again when I go and get the weed cloth. I will either take this stuff back or use it in the front yard in the flower beds.
I'm not sure why it is taking me so long to get this garden together. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to show that it is actually up and running. :-)
Before you know it, you'll be harvesting fresh garden treats!

I want to restart our garden but was afraid that our pets would ravish through it again. Your box sounds like a great idea. I could find a nifty little place for it. Yes, it was Pen's Naval Museum. We went through three cities in three days. I have the blisters to prove it! LOL! I'll be back to see how that garden is going. I love your ideal apron. I'm starting one now. I haven't sewn in 20 years so pray for me. Have a blessed day! :)
