Wordkeeping-Keeping God's Word in Our Heart
I received an e-mail from a Mom that is a part of one of my online educator groups. It was about this website. The theme is 21 days of spiritual renewal and hiding God's word in your heart. At the end of the 21 days you will have committed 200 scriptures to memory. The deadline is coming up soon as the first class starts on May 1st. Please check it out if you are interested.
I'm joining you on this one - a day late, but I've just completed 'prompterizing' Days 1 & 2. While most of the verses in this first set are familiar, I'm amazed at the significance of simple changes in meaning when the exact form/tense of the words are mentally noted. The difference between singular and plural, for instance not only helps me memorize the text exactly as written, but gives new meaning to very common verses.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this. It's something I'm committed to despite the fact that the first 10 days I'll be trying to commit "laws of the land" to memory as well. I believe wordkeeping should enhance my performance on law school exams, and eating the Word is much more imperative than academic pursuits. Let's keep each other in prayer as we take this spiritual journey of mental exercise.
