Homeschool Snow Day

A few days ago I woke up to huge snowflakes falling outside of my window. What a beautiful sight. It doesn't snow much where we live, so I told the kids to hurry up and get bundled up so they could play in it before it all melted. They did just that and had a blast.

The kids enjoyed snowball fights with Daddy

And making miniature snowmen. :)

I incorporated learning by talking about the difference between sleet and snow, and the next day when it melted we talked about why it was easier to make snowballs out of freshly fallen snow.

It's days like this that make me extra thankful that we homeschool.

  2. See we leave Central Texas and it snows. LOL I am glad you enjoyed it. Homeschooling was/is a blessing as we really found out during the blizzard here in the DC area.

  3. We did an experiment to compare how long a patch of snow and a packed snowball would last before melting. We have a few snowballs in the freezer to save for summer! Gotta make the most of snow in Texas!!
