Basic Knit Hat
I am really getting into knitting the baby hats and actually prefer knitting over crocheting. I like both, but knitting is my favorite. I tried the pattern for this basic knit hat. After making it successfully trying the pattern exactly, I decided to modify it a bit to use double pointed needles. I am pleased with the results. I like the dpns because I don't have to sew up a seam when I am done.
So far over 150 hats have been turned in towards our goal of 520. Not too shabby!!
How long does it take you to knit each hat?
ReplyDeleteHey Ann, It takes about an hour and a half to three hours depending on the pattern.

Hi Yolanda, I'm happy to have found you again! I just this week started on teaching Ashley, my daughter, to crotchet a chain. I've always wanted to know how to knit and once took a class but kept getting stuck and then didn't know what to do. I would love to just have you sit with me and teach me because I love the way knitting looks.
ReplyDeleteI see you blog design was by Darcy. I just love her designs and I'm now in her queue! I may be a while though since I hopped on at the last minute before she closed it for a while.
